The family business was set up in 2003. We became Linen-etc.com in 2007 using our previous experience in both property management and supplying the hospitality sector, so we knew what commercial companies were looking for.
Buying bedding is not the easiest task and I remember my first buying experience on arrival in Portugal in 2001 where I was faced with a selection of the wrong size sheets for my UK beds. For this reason, it has always been important that we have sizes to suit all beds and a team of advisors who speak a range of languages, have the training to answer clients’ questions and ensure they acquire the right products.
We are retailers, wholesalers and trade suppliers and having such a diverse market enables us to have competitive prices for quality products, especially for larger trade orders. We have many happy returning customers who have bought either in one of our showrooms, by email, online or by phone.
We have gone from a very modest start in 2008 with a shop in Salema, one staff member, a van and a stock value of 35,000€ to two stores, 14 members of staff, 3 vehicles and a stock holding of 220,000€.
